Well-established boatyard for sale for the first time in its history

First Peninsula Marine is delighted to bring to market for the very first time in the yard’s long history, Larkman’s Boatyard located in Woodbridge, Suffolk.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire both the going concern business and the freehold to the boatyard. The offer is made by way of a sale of company shares and transfer of land title from the landlords, subject to contract.
Larkman’s Boatyard was first established in 1959 and moved to its present location in Woodbridge, Suffolk in 1966. The site has since been expanded and developed over the years, including investment into an extensive yard equipment inventory, whilst increasing its customer base accordingly. Today, having acquired 3 separate plots of land over time, it is one of the largest boatyards in the area.
Larkman’s is situated on the banks of the River Deben and is approx. 13 acres overall with approx. 9 acres used for hardstanding and boatyard operations. Its maximum storage capacity is approx. 230 boats (45ft max length / 7ft max draught), and its land boundary extends to mid-river and includes 3 river moorings.
Both the yard freehold and trading company itself is 2nd generation family owned, and the owners prides themselves on providing high quality, personal and value for money services to boat owners. Services include cranage up to 15 Ton maximum, storage and a variety of lay-up packages from which it generates significant recurring income each year. Other services include chandlery, rigging, refits, engineering, repairs and maintenance.
