Trelleborg Group acquires mooring equipment manufacturer
The Trelleborg Group, through its Trelleborg Industrial Solutions business area, has acquired Mampaey Offshore Industries, a Netherlands-based manufacturer of specialist solutions for the marine industry.
Trelleborg, based in Sweden, is a world leader in engineered polymer solutions that protect critical applications in marine environments, accelerating efficiency in onshore, offshore and ship-to-ship environments. Founded in 1896 the company operates in 40 countries with over 15,000 employees.
Trelleborg’s offerings include oil and marine hoses, large-bore flexible bonded hoses for crude oil, chemicals, and LPG/LNG offshore transfer applications; antivibration mounting systems for propulsion engines, and technologies including SafePilot technology, for safer and more efficient piloting and port management, and SmartPort, which connects port operations, allowing analysis of asset performance.
This acquisition will strengthen the company’s position in marine solutions further.

Mampaey Offshore Industries, based in Dordrecht, manufactures state-of-the-art mooring, berthing and towing solutions and integrated information systems for the port, maritime and offshore industries.
Launched in 1904, it produces a range of berthing and mooring systems and ship-to-shore safety links for LNG transfer. Its range includes quick-release towing and mooring hooks, along with safe mooring systems, through the development and improvement of the Steel Mooring Buoy and the Remote Control Systems.
As part of the agreement, Mampaey’s manufacturing facility in Dordrecht will be integrated into Trelleborg’s operations, establishing a central European hub to bolster the company’s presence in the region. This move is expected to enhance production efficiency, ensure quality control, and improve customer service for European markets.
